Response regarding the Case Investigation

The Taoyuan District Prosecutors Office stated that, as the case is still under investigation by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office, and out of respect for the prosecutor’s right to investigate and the principle of confidentiality of the investigation, the relevant facts have not yet been reviewed for a detailed investigation.

Now that the case has been brought to litigation, the district prosecutor’s office has obtained relevant documents through the Taiwan High Prosecutors Office and, based on the principle of impartiality, a specialized prosecutor is conducting a thorough investigation to clarify the facts and proceed justly, and the results will be made public as soon as possible.

The Taipei District Prosecutors Office has also filed charges in relation to the case involving the lawyer’s fraudulent activities.

As for whether Prosecutor Wu is involved in administrative violations or other issues, relevant evidence has been provided to the Taiwan High Prosecutors Office for investigation.

According to reports from “Mirror Weekly”, in the case where the Taipei District Prosecutors Office is investigating the role of lawyer Zheng Hongwei as an advisor to a fraud gang with monthly earnings of 3 million dollars, a sub-case has emerged within the case, where a prosecutor named Wu from the Taoyuan District has surprisingly been advising the boyfriend of the lawyer suspected of being part of the fraud gang, Zhu Yipin. Due to the involvement of judges and prosecutors in this case, all relevant evidence has been sealed, and the Northern Prosecutors Office will continue to expand the investigation.
